About this location
A peaceful camping spot on a large plot within a former fishing village, with sea views on one side and countryside views on the other. Absolute tranquility, no noise or visual pollution — perfect for stargazing. Close to Eurovélo 4, GR34, and Cotentin beach (400 m away), ideal for a stop between the coast and the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Some guests stay several days to explore major sites such as Erquy, Cap Fréhel, Saint Cast le Guildo, Pléneuf-Val-André (seaside resort with 18-hole golf and the beautiful Emerald Coast); others pass through for just one night as part of a road trip.
The landscaped terrain is almost enclosed, surrounded by a bocage hedge, no overlooking, facing due west. A very peaceful corner with unobstructed views of the bay and magnificent sunsets. Bréhat lighthouse may be visible (the island is 1 hour 10 minutes away: 1 hour by car and 10 minutes by boat; boat departures now available from Dahouet port).
The terrain is home to all sorts of birds (pigeons, swallows, tits with installed shelters). You may hear the local sheep and horses, meet 'Albert' one of the neighbourhood hares, and perhaps spot our discreet and unobtrusive three-coloured cat.

- Eurovélo 4 at 50 m from the terrain, mountain-bike and hiking trails
- Free tennis courts at 300 m
- At 400 m: Cotentin beach, Margaux caves, GR34, orientation table (nice viewpoint)
- At 200 m: equestrian centre
- Nearby: cider house with possibility to rent donkeys for exploring the area
- At 2 km: access to other beaches (Belliard, Port Morvan with slipway)
- At 3 km: Dahouet marina, Pléneuf Val André seaside resort, 18-hole golf, bakeries, bars, restaurants, crêperies, terraces, casino
- At 3 km: Planguenoual village (bakery, small shops, pharmacy, medical centre)
- 5 min by car: Lidl, Biocoop and various shops (local products)
- 15 min: Erquy and the entire Emerald Coast, Cap Fréhel, Saint Cast le Guildo, Binic, Saint Quay Portrieux...
Culinary highlights:
- At 800 m: restaurant specialising in mussels and fries and more (at Jospinet); tasting and sale of seafood plus a local products shop. Possibility to visit the bay mussel beds by amphibious boat (visits organised by local mussel farmers).
Other remarks:
- Facilities (at the host's home): hot water point, WC and showers accessible in the morning and evening (flexible times if possible)
- Washing up outdoors
- No fires allowed
- Possibility for GR34 hikers or light-travelling motorcyclists to order breakfast (notify at least the day before; payment possible on site). Contact via messages before booking to check feasibility.
