You will follow the edge of the Meuse to arrive in a small dead end where my house is located with the garden.
We are in a fairly quiet village. All the neighbors went back to sleep around 10 p.m. (elderly person). I know my region well and I have lots of advice for hikes with viewpoints starting from the house. The house is under construction so a new toilet is installed but there is still a lot to do. It is possible to park in the street but access to the garden is only via the dead end which is 1.20m wide and 20m long. The land is flat there is a terrace. The toilets are inside the house and are shared with me. A shower can be made available on request (€ 3). There are many activities to do in the region (Hiking, Dinant evasion, mountain biking, trail, maredsous, kayaking, ...)

We had a great time in and around Anhée. Good base for walking, cycling, visiting a city or village, ... But especially wonderful to be able to jump into the Meuse every day; 'la Meuse' was very high even with the drought. All facilities were fine, the toilet was also very clean. There are several animals, a cat, sheep and chickens. We were allowed to eat the eggs of the chickens.

Amazing! The region is beautiful. When you get of the train you see these beautiful cliffs against the river. There is a lot to do in the region like: kayaking, fishing, climbing, ruins of old castles, amazing roads to ride longboards and a lot of nature.
How was the contact with the host?
Best host ever! The host is a verry friendly and helping guy. When we arrived he immediately offered us a drink and wrote some things to do in the area on a note. He sat with us at the campfire the last night and we had a really good conversation about how our trip was. The camping location that he offers is also amazing with water, electricity, toilet and easy access to the garden whenever you want to come and go.
Tips for new guests?
Make sure you bring some good hiking shoes because the sand roads are a bit rocky. The ruins Poilvache Castle close at 18h00 so don't walk up the steep hill after 17h30 if you want to visit them. Bring charcoal is you want to cook because the host has a nice BBQ. A longboard or foldable bike is nice to travel from the station to the campspace and back.
