I am a conservationist, with a fascination for birds. At the same time, I am seriously concerned about the sustainability of our immediate living environment. I try to give it a positive swing.

Beautiful place in nature, between storks, bees, foxes and toads. Recommended!

Thank you. It's always nice to have curious guests in the yard. The bee swarm is now in a new hive, they are already building something new.

A fantastic Campspace in Natura2000 area. In the immediate vicinity of Nijmegen you drive through the vast Ooijpolder. A beautiful ride!
Set up your tent, grab a good book and enjoy the eternal sound of birds by the water. You really imagine yourself here in untouched nature.
At night you do suffer from the main road behind the Campspace. Also in the evening the sound of moving cars continues. With earplugs in your tent you won't be bothered by it. It is a pity for the evenings and mornings when the birds no longer drown out the sound.
PS: the sunset on the water is a golden tip!

How was the contact with the host?
I was in a car with a roof tent and a spot had been made especially for that. As a result, you are in a less beautiful spot than when you are here with a 'normal' tent. It's great that you can think along!

Tips for new guests?
Bring earplugs for the night, so you won't be bothered by the main road and you can fully enjoy this fantastic Campspace!

good day. Sorry you had trouble with the cars. But that road has been there for a long time, which can also be clearly seen on the aerial photo of the site. I would have liked you to get in touch before moving on.

We had a beautiful night camping with our tractor tents on the beautiful grounds of the Kapittelhof. Although the facilities were still partly under construction, the hosts had no problems with us coming to camp for the night. We were warmly welcomed by Frank and Ria in their backyard: a small nature reserve under development. In the evening, in the middle of nature, we made a fire at the seat by the lake, and at night spotted 2 badgers near the tent. A camping experience that you don't often have in the Netherlands!

We had a great time at the Kapittelhoeve. A lovely spacious camping spot with a view of the lake. In the middle of nature, pure as it is. It can hardly be more beautiful in our opinion. The care was also top notch and the hosts very friendly and helpful.

Great place for one night. Quite noise from traffic on the dike until about 23:00 but also beautiful sounds of flying geese. There is a toilet and an outside tap for water.

How was the contact with the host?
Good. Friendly welcome.

Tips for new guests?
Oortjeshekken in Ooij (5km or so) for a delicious breakfast. The Thornse Molen is also close by for lunch or dinner.

Very nice farm in a rural location. Lots of nature around you. A road but that doesn't bother me. The hosts were very friendly.

How was the contact with the host?
Was good overall.

Beautiful place in the tall grass. Feeling of wild camping. Only drawback: the road that runs right past the camping site with the accompanying noise.

How was the contact with the host?
Nice, relaxed and everything well arranged.

Tips for new guests?
There is no shower, so maybe bring a water bag?

thank you. We are indeed still working on getting the road manager to some noise reduction (noise wall, etc.). And the shower will be installed at some point, when we tackle the new construction in the yard.
