Camping in the countryside, in a place with a green heart – right in the heart of Utrecht!
Looking for a small, welcoming campsite in Utrecht? Where you can spend the night in peace and quiet and receive a warm welcome? Then come camp with us – Bert & Simon – on our property on the Leidsche Rijn river.
We live on an old farmhouse in Utrecht, where we care for three foster children and three (semi-adult) young people from foster care. We also run a sustainable business specializing in original, green promotional gifts. And… we enjoy sharing our farm with people who need a break.
Our site offers space for two campers, tents, or small caravans. Ideal for those who want to explore Utrecht for a few days, cycle into the city, or... for those with children or grandchildren in Utrecht and looking for a comfortable base to spend time together without immediately intruding on their homes.
Our place is green, quiet and socially engaged – and those who want can get a look behind the scenes of our special household and our company.

Tips

  • There is a very nice bakery a 300m walk away. Bakery Amadeus. Open only on weekdays and Saturday mornings. Keep in mind that you might have to queue for a bit... But it is more than worth it!

  • There is a coffee shop by the Daphne Schippers Bridge.

  • Just an 8-minute bike ride away, you’ll find Restaurant aan de Sluis for lunch and dinner. Opposite that is SOIA Strand Oog in Al, a sort of beach bar perfect for lovely evenings enjoying drinks outside with a view of the water.
