Welcome to Opdorp – enjoy the heart of Flanders. Discover the peace and charm of Opdorp (Buggenhout), centrally located in the Golden Triangle between Antwerp, Ghent, and Brussels. Enjoy a relaxed camping experience on our spacious lawn, overlooking the swimming pool and the green surroundings. It is the ideal place to unwind, read a good book, enjoy a meal together, or end the day by the fire pit. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay: a hot outdoor shower, a spacious toilet, a cozy dining table with chairs, outdoor play equipment, and free Wi-Fi. This way, you can enjoy the outdoors without compromising on comfort. Who are we? We are a warm family of four: Evert and Elsie and our two daughters, Manon and Mila. For years, we traveled through Europe ourselves with a tent and caravan. Today, we love discovering the most beautiful spots in Belgium, whether walking or cycling. That is why we know better than anyone what campers value: a peaceful environment, a warm welcome, and a stay where you feel right at home. Our family is completed by Zaya. She is a true companion dog: friendly, curious, and always happy to meet new people. Are you less comfortable around dogs? No problem. She will remain on a leash, and we are happy to respect your wishes. Furthermore, two curious Wyandotte bantams, Zazou and Zaza, happily roam around at the back of the garden. They provide an extra touch of rural coziness and are especially popular with children. Why choose Opdorp? Central location Between Antwerp, Ghent, and Brussels. The perfect base for culture, nature, and day trips. Paradise for cyclists and walkers You access the extensive cycling and walking route network, the Scheldt routes, and various GR trails directly. Two beautiful nature reserves Just a stone's throw away are Buggenhout Forest, known for its centuries-old oaks and rich fauna, and Lippelo Forest, ideal for a peaceful walk. The Scheldt nearby In just one kilometer, you can walk to the ferry towards Mariekerke and Moerzeke, a beautiful area along the water. The Dries of Opdorp Discover the largest village square in Belgium, surrounded by cozy restaurants, historic buildings, and beautiful trees. Every two years, the square serves as the backdrop for a famous open-air sculpture exhibition. Burgundian enjoyment Taste regional beers such as Duvel, Palm, Cornet, Tripel Karmeliet, and Malheur, or discover the many cozy restaurants, cafes, and ice cream parlors in the area. An added bonus: a supermarket is located just 800 meters from our campsite. Make your stay even more enjoyable Want to pamper yourself a little more? Then you can choose from various optional extras (on request). Take a refreshing dip in our heated swimming pool, start the day with a delicious breakfast, or enjoy a cozy barbecue. You can choose between charcoal barbecuing or a fully catered meal from our gas barbecue. Practical comfort has also been considered. You can make use of bath towels, a fridge with freezer, a coffee maker, a kettle, crockery, and cutlery. We are even happy to take care of the washing up for you. Additionally, we offer a laundry and drying service. Those wishing to explore the region can rent regular or electric bicycles. Do you need a quiet workspace during your stay, or would you like to play a board game? Then you can make use of our comfortable office space. Before arrival, you will receive a clear brochure with all optional extras and rates. This allows you to review at your leisure beforehand which options you would like to reserve, ensuring everything is ready for you upon arrival.
