About this campspace

Our camping meadow is located in a beautiful location, next to the Quackgors bird sanctuary. On the dunes, adjacent to the water of Het Haringvliet and 5 minutes from the North Sea beach.
The camping meadow is located on the nature reserve of Hellevoetsluis, but still within walking and cycling distance of the historic part with cozy restaurants.
It is a wonderful place for beach, walking and cycling enthusiasts or for exploring the charming villages and towns in the area.

There are currently four spots for small tents. The dune hut is equipped with toilet and sink (cold water), kitchenette (cold water), fridge, kettle. A dining and sitting area.
At 50 meters, at the beach of the Harlingvliet, you can take a refreshing dip (brackish water).

The nearby beaches of Van Rockanje are 5 minutes by bike.

Camping in the back of a horse meadow for small tents. That is what you can do at this campspace in Hellevoetsluis. You have your own spot with maybe one other visitor and a large lounge sofa to chill out on. The funny thing is that you have to walk through the meadow to get to your tent spot. It can be happen that one of the horses is out in this meadow, sometimes they are a little curious, but in a very friendly way.

Next to the owners house they have a small cottage where you can find the toilet, a small kitchen and a dining and seating area. You can use this area if you like to, for example with cold or wet weather.

From the camping spot you can walk up the dike into the dunes to a small beach at the Haringvliet. There are a lot of possibilities for beautiful hikes or biking tours. I also enjoyed to visit the old center of Hellevoetsluis. Brielle seems to be very pretty also. Are you more a beach person? Then visit the beach area of Rockanje, only 15 minutes away by car.

It is possible to join a Taichi session (fridays) on the beach at the camping spot or a yoga session (sundays) for a small payment. You can also reserve a pizza bus to drive by and make a fresh baked pizza while you are there waiting.

In short, a very interesting and nice camping spot with a very welcoming host and animals.

Together with my daughter I went camping for a night in the meadow with Miranda. It was great fun, we had the whole meadow to ourselves. The horses graze peacefully in a separated area and in the evening they also went for a brisk trot. Occasionally young peacocks also walked into the meadow. With the wheelbarrow we could take our stuff into the meadow, we laughed a lot. In the garden shed we could go to the toilet, make tea and do some dishes. Miranda helped us by giving our van and spot in her driveway. Which was very welcoming and kind of her! However, we moved after the first night because this meadow was not made for that and we were unlucky due to noise from the street (which is exceptional, because it really is a resting place).
