About this location

Still have the idea that you are in France and then so close. Camping on a beautiful spot in the orchard. There is room for a camper van and 4 tents. Spacious and quiet.
We are not a real campsite. You can choose a spot yourself upon arrival. Sometimes we are there to welcome you, sometimes you will have to fend for yourself. The chickens will come and welcome you. We like to let more people enjoy our beautiful spot located on the Elfstedenvaart between Harlingen and Leeuwarden. Ideal base to make all kinds of trips from here. Depending on the period, there is fruit, vegetables and/or herbs for sale, with a money box next to it. In Franeker there are supermarkets, (pastry) bakers, butchers, nice fashion shops. On Wednesdays and Saturdays a small market. Don't forget to visit the world-famous Planetarium.
10 minutes from Harlingen, 20 minutes to Leeuwarden. If you are on your way to one of the Wadden Islands, it is an ideal stop to stay overnight 1 day in advance.
Enjoy the wide view with lambs, cows and horses. Spot the lighthouses of the Wadden Islands in the evening, swim in the Elfstedenvaart, beautiful sunrise/sunset. Self-reliance, natural location, simple facilities, adventurous, small-scale but spacious.

You can use and move picnic tables. Trampoline available, at your own risk. There is a fire basket and possibly wood for sale for 10 euros per box.
