About this location

The site is located on a small NSW estate. The horses graze in the meadow. The meadow borders the German border. It is remote, in the countryside, about 8 km from Winterswijk. The town of Vreden in Germany is closer. The "Steengroeve" in the vicinity is well-known. It is a beautiful area for cycling, walking, horse riding and driving. In Winterswijk is, among other things, "Museum Villa Mondriaan" Smoking is not allowed with us. A tent, small (up to 7 meters) camper or caravan are welcome after consultation.

Hugo is retired after a career in banking and insurance. (81). Trudy (80) taught vocational training and was a spiritual counselor in a hospital. Together, they previously ran a B&B in Zeeland. Since 2011, they have lived on a remote farmhouse where they keep horses and chickens. Previously, they rode horses and also drove carriages through the beautiful countryside. Trudy lovingly cares for the livestock, including the birds, which are numerous here. They enjoy meeting kind people who appreciate nature and the peaceful surroundings.
They have been camping since childhood, first with a tent and now with a caravan.

  • Pleasant market in Winterswijk on Wednesday morning and all day Saturday. Largest camping shop in the Netherlands 'Obelink' in Winterswijk Miste.

  • For that you have to go to Winterswijk, free parking everywhere

  • Café 'Konditorei Rave' in 'Vreden' (Germany) and Il Caffè and restaurant 'De Rvolution' in Winterswijk opposite the Jacobskerk.
