About this location
On this private meadow plot of 100 m² you have a beautiful view of a historic mill and enjoy a lovely sunset.
The campsite
You have the camping spot entirely to yourself. There is room for 3 small or 2 larger tents and a maximum of 6 people. Basic facilities include: 1 drinking water tap, 1 power outlet, 1 compost toilet, 1 picnic bench and 1 'sunset viewing bench'.
The site is 70 meters from the road, at the intersection of the quiet roads Berendrechtsvoetpad and Toon Verbraakpad. It is surrounded by shrubs which, like the surrounding meadows, are full of life.
All the woodwork on the campsite has been reclaimed and assembled with local craftspeople: from driftwood in the Galgeschoor - Lillo, to discarded fence posts to pallets ready to burn.
The surroundings
There is a cosy café with terrace, children's playground, trampolines and mini golf nearby. In Berendrecht-Zandvliet-Lillo there is still plenty of nature and heritage. You are here halfway between Antwerp and Bergen op Zoom (both 20-25 km away). But also on the border of Polder and Kempen, of rural villages and port industry, of Flanders and the Netherlands.
On excursions
This is the ideal starting point for day walks and cycling trips in the area or further afield, such as the Mill Walking Route, the Gansrijders Route (cycling), the walking routes of Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide, the district routes around heritage and nature, back and forth to Yerseke (food & drink), Wemeldinge (beach), Scheldeoord (beach), Lillo-Doel-Emmadorp (Scheldt and Saeftinghe), Bergen op Zoom (historic town), …
But it is also a nice stop on a multi-day trip along mini campings, such as a 'Round the Westerschelde' with ferries Lillo-Liefkenshoek and Breskens-Vlissingen or a 'Round Zeeland' via Willemstad, Tiengemeten, Goedereede, Westenschouwen, Dreischor, Zierikzee, Oranjezon, Veere, Ellewoutsdijk, Nisse, Scheldeoord, Wemeldinge, Yerseke and much more…
