About this location

Our favorite spot is located on a unique site directly on the Elde river, a tributary of the Elbe. Here you can hike, visit the exhibition about local industrial history, kayak towards the old mill or to Dömitz nature reserve. Or go fishing or enjoy the Elbe cycling route.

If you expect traditional camping pitches or standard campground facilities, you won't find them here. Instead, you'll discover industrial culture, lost-place charm and wild nature! This is a unique natural location to spend a few relaxed days away from the big city. The old brick buildings are home to falcons, storks and kites; deer roam the fields and mornings are awakened by sheep or free-roaming chickens.

The sunset terrace on the island with a Hollywood swing and comfortable garden furniture invites you to linger, and in the evenings there's often a bonfire or spontaneous cinema on the big screen.

On the grounds you'll find the office building, where various creative projects are underway and an exhibition about local history is housed. Feel free to explore the outdoor area with all its enchanting corners and let your gaze wander over the fields at sunset.
