About this location

We are Ilse and Jan, a biologist and forester with a passion for nature, ecological gardening, travelling and camping. We live in a small village on the edge of a large forest.
We would like to let you enjoy the wonderful place where we live in the heart of Belgian Limburg. Ecological living, living in harmony with nature, small scale and sustainability are so important for us.
We offer three camping spots in a large meadow full of flowers in spring and summer. In the evening you can hear the owls calling and bats are dancing over your head. You will fall asleep with the sound of the crickets. Sometimes you can spot deer on the meadow.
Every camping spot has a picknick table and a fire bowl. Central on the meadow you can find a mobile bathroom with a hot shower, a sink and a dry toilet. Eco-friendly dish- and showerproducts are provided. There is a small kitchen you can use. In the kitchen, there is also a small wood stove for the colder mornings or evenings. Water and electricity are provided at a central point on the meadow.
Kids can play in the garden. There are swings and a trampoline.
We have a lot of animals on our litte farm: sheep, chickens, ducks, turkeys, a cat and our sweet dog Sien (who is a Border Collie).
In the forest you can make wonderful walks or bicycle tours. The National Park Hoge Kempen is only 7 kilometers away. And also the beautifil Landscape ParK ‘De Wijers’ with 1001 ponds is only 15 minutes driving.
In our village you can find a small supermarket and bakery at 2 km.
We speak Dutch, English, French and German. Dogs are not allowed.

We provide biodegradable products for the shower and to do the dishes for you. We buy cleaning products, dishwashing products, soap and shampoo in bulk in a zero waste shop. So no waste packaging anymore! On our camping field there is a high degree of biodiversity because we have a lot of different natural habitaits for plants and animals like a grassland with a lot of different grasses, wild flowers and herbs, a pond, an orchard, hedges, trees, ecologiscal kitchen garden, ...
