Located below a cul-de-sac, the site benefits from a very quiet environment with very little traffic. The absence of streetlights allows you to admire a magnificent starry sky on clear days. At the end of the day, two large cherry trees provide pleasant shade. The location is ideal for discovering the natural and cultural heritage of the region. Numerous hiking trails start directly from the pitch. You'll also find yourself on the **Richard the Lionheart Route**, a tourist route that connects several medieval fortresses in the Limousin and Périgord regions. Heritage enthusiasts can visit the castles of Crosmières, Brie, Montbrun, and Rochechouart, as well as discover numerous Romanesque churches, testaments to the region's history. Nearby, a small, typically Limousin rural heritage adds to the charm of the area: old barns, wells, a chestnut drying shed, and a wash house. Nature lovers will appreciate the many ponds in the surrounding area, notably the Saint-Mathieu water sports center (8 km) or the one in Saint-Estèphe, a little further away. For cyclists, the greenway, built on a former railway line, begins in Oradour-sur-Vayres, just 3 km away. It leads to Châlus and offers a pleasant route of approximately 30 km round trip. A few kilometers away rises the **Grand Puyconnieux**, the highest point in the area, which offers beautiful panoramic views of the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park. To preserve the quality of the site, you can dispose of your household waste in the provided rubbish bags. I recommend the cycle path starting in Oradour-sur-Vayres (3 km from the location) to Chalus. It's a former railway line and is 30 km round trip.
