Stay in the heart of Franconia
Do you long for peace or do you prefer eventful days in nature at the foot of the most beautiful vineyards in Bavaria? Our micro-camping meadow on the outskirts of the cozy wine-growing town of Falkenstein offers an unforgettable micro-camping adventure in nature for hikers who love panoramas, adventurous mountain bikers, but also families looking for relaxation. Surrounded by breathtaking natural spaces, a stay with us becomes an extraordinary experience. Promised!
The best wineries:
A detour to one of the numerous winegrowers, both in Falkenstein with the Dörflein family and in the surrounding villages, is an absolute "must". For lunch, the Gasthaus Krapf or other wineries in the neighboring towns of Falkenstein invite you to enjoy Franconian cuisine, fruity, sparkling home-grown wines and to linger.
Free time activities:
What do you think of exploring our unique landscape on a morning walk along the "Falkenberger Hüttentour" theme trail or the "Burgherrenblick" premium trail and getting in the mood for the day on a comfortable bench surrounded by vines in nature?
Afternoons can be spent hiking or action-packed mountain bike rides to the castle ruins and the “Zabelstein” lookout tower. You will also have a lot of fun at the Steigerwald archery course or at our wonderful bathing lake that shimmers in the sun, which is only a 10-minute walk from our camping site.
Relaxation:
You can end your evenings relaxing around the campfire or with enchanting sunsets while the children romp around on the adjacent playground.
Besides that:
Our micro-camping meadow not only offers you a breathtaking view of the Falkenberg vineyards, but also access to electricity, water, a fireplace and a toilet facility.
We, the Gudrun family and Michael Wolf with children, look forward to welcoming you!

Great pitch with a beautiful view of the Falkenberg vineyards and a beautiful starry sky.
Wonderfully situated for mountain biking and the turquoise blue lake was a great way to cool down.
The wine tasting at the neighbors (Dorflein family) was also a highlight.
We would like to come again.

Very nice meadow with everything you need on the edge of spacious fields. On the way to the toilet you will find enclosures with rabbits, chickens and a nice playground with lots of shade. A light blue lake for swimming hidden by trees is very close by bike or on foot. You can also go hiking. We felt completely comfortable!
How was the contact with the host?
Very nice and reliable in advance, personal greeting on site despite the very late hour.

We can only recommend! The Franconian wine shop in a backyard around the corner is very friendly, we were allowed to try a lot and it wasn't easy to decide :)

Such a beautiful place - wonderfully situated on a spacious meadow with a wonderful view of the vineyards in a sunflower field. In the village there is a small economy with good Franconian food. The place was a hit for our children - a large playground invites you to linger, the nearby gypsum lake for swimming on hot days. The 3km distant forest playground is def. worth a visit. In the evening we were happy about the existing campfire site
How was the contact with the host?
The host family was very friendly, greeted us with tips to explore the area and explained everything to us. In the evening, nice conversations were held around the campfire - just great

After a long day driving we were looking for a campspace. At Lorenzs place we found a idyllic spot on the middle of the fields, with a lovely view to park our camper. Lorenz was waiting for us and kindly directed us to the site. He have us some extra wood so we could make a campfire. Just an amazing spot, all the facilities were good, super friendly and helpful host. Thanks for our great stay!

It was just wonderful with Michael and his family. We liked it so much that we stopped there again for 2 days on the way back from our trip. Only so many visitors are accommodated on the meadow that everyone has enough privacy. There were fresh eggs from free roaming chickens as a welcome gift. Since Donnersdorf is right on the vineyard, there is of course incredibly delicious wine. We also took a box of it with us. The family is just warm and you feel completely at ease. You can hike up to the vineyard and there is a small quarry pond for swimming nearby. We were there with our two dogs and were able to relax very well. Thanks very much. Many greetings from Jana and Julius

The camping spots are on a field with a beautiful view in all directions, it is located behind a former Gaststätte. Inside you can use the toilets.
There is also a water tap and electricity on the field. Between the guest house and the field are many play equipment and a ping pong table.
In the village a few hundred meters away we were able to eat well (closed at 7 pm).
How was the contact with the host?
Because we didn't drive right right away (our fault, not stopping when the navigation indicated that we had reached the address) Michael texted us a route. Micael soon received us and he showed us the way. The camping field is located behind a former guest house.
Together with some of his 6 children, Michael came to bring us fresh eggs because the rooster could wake us up.
Tips for new guests?
Recommended. The environment is beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay in Falkenberg. The camping meadow offers a lot of space and you have a wonderful view of the vineyards and the sunset was one of our highlights.
How was the contact with the host?
The process was super relaxed. Michael and his family welcomed us in a friendly manner and gave us a briefing. They were very hospitable and practically read our every wish from our eyes.
Tips for new guests?
You should definitely take a tour through the vineyards and to the Zabelstein - it's worth it!

Beautiful surroundings with a lot of space and breathing space. The campsite is a bit back-to-basic, but still with the necessary comfort (WC, water and electricity). The campsite is located at the foot of the Falkenberg, where you can walk beautifully and enjoy the beautiful wine landscape. We were very well received by the host who immediately steered us in the right direction. Also during our stay we could always ask our questions and that reassured us enormously (especially since this was our first trip with a camper). This campsite is highly recommended for anyone who loves nature, tranquility and wine!
Maybe a tip: a sign indicating the way to the campsite would not be an unnecessary luxury.
How was the contact with the host?
Very smooth and pleasant. The response was quick and clear.
Tips for new guests?
The nearest shop is about 8km. There is a (friendly) bakery in the nearby town.
Be sure to bring good walking shoes ;-)

Basically it was a nice stay. It is a large meadow with a view of a vineyard. Having a toilet and running water are big pluses.
BUT, 4 parking spaces are specified for this space. When we arrived there was already a group of at least 8 people (very nice people who said hello and introduced themselves), who made up for their unusual metal festival and almost already occupied the contingent of seats. As I understood it, they had already been there for a few days and spontaneously just extended their stay again and again ... In addition, 3 more parking spaces were occupied (a total of 8 people). There were three of us and had booked 2 parking spaces. In total there were about 19 people on this meadow who had to share a toilet ... You can imagine what was going on that morning. On the second day two people left and four more came. Assuming that 2 people sleep in one tent, about 10 parking spaces have been rented here. I imagine a quiet weekend in nature to be different.
I don't want to assume any bad intentions here, but that was just off the mark and, in my opinion, not in the interests of this platform.
In addition, none of the pictures in profile shows the meadow on which you set up your camp, the existing pictures misled me, because I thought that you would be more in the vineyards. Pictures of the Wieser should be added here.
How was the contact with the host?
The host was very friendly, always answered quickly and received a very nice welcome. Regarding the full space, we were only told that it was forgotten to reduce the number after bookings were received, which meant that it was possible to continue booking ... since the space is offered on different platforms, it will probably not be clearer ... weak Power.
Tips for new guests?
Have a plan B ready in case it gets crowded again. But I assume that we were just unlucky.
