Tent
A bivouac in the historic setting of Het Hak Hout. Guests can set up a small tent here or build their own shelter from fallen wood that they can collect in the area. Guests can also cook on an open fire at the designated campfire area. This place is ideal for the primitive camper. In the area there are many beautiful walking routes through the wooded area of the Utrechtseheuvelrug and there are many historical monuments to visit, such as various castles and the monumental city of Wijk bij Duurstede.

Francisca Laporte:
Our family is committed to preserving historical coppice. With Campspace, our guests can enjoy the atmosphere and experience of coppice: the silence, a great wealth of birds and wood from our own harvest for a campfire on which you prepare your food. If you want, I can take you for a slowing down way of experiencing nature (shinrin yoku/forest bathing), or we go into the coppice to pick wild plants to cook with, or I can supervise outdoor cooking or baking. I like to pass on this way of outdoor living, because I have discovered that it is increasingly important to be able to recharge in nature. With us, this is possible in a way that is not only recreational, but also active. Our guests appreciate the peace, the silence and the possibility to set up their own bivouac in the coppice. I love to experience that our guests embrace the credo 'less is more' and bring a positive energy: Guests stay here in an optimal balance with our coppice, they take pride in leaving no traces of their stay. Unique to our location is: silence, privacy and the basic minimum.

Our terrain in Overlangbroek is located in a quiet area. Experience and respect the silence in this vulnerable nature area. Music is therefore not allowed. The entire terrain is smoke-free. It is therefore not allowed to smoke anywhere. Small campfires are allowed at the designated campfire sites, with wood that you gather on the site yourself or buy from us (dried logs and kindling). It is not allowed to bring your own wood to stoke. The use of petroleum or petrol to make a fire at the campfire site is not allowed. If there is a general ban on stoking, it is of course not allowed to make a campfire. In that case, provide an alternative for cooking, or go out for dinner in the surrounding villages. In dry weather, there must be 2 buckets of extinguishing water near the fire. Never leave the fire unattended. Campfires may only be extinguished with water. When leaving the site (even for a short time) or before going to sleep, the fires must be extinguished.
