About this location

In the heart of the Lommatzscher Pflege, an agricultural region in central Saxony, our idyllic farm sits in complete isolation. Here you can truly escape the noise and stress of city life and enjoy nature to the fullest. You can choose between a paved pitch at the edge of the farmyard and a meadow pitch with open views across the fields.
Welcome to our small family-run farm! We keep cattle, horses, donkeys, sheep, geese, chickens & cats. We practice respectful animal care and prioritize species-appropriate husbandry. All our animals have names, and we know their individual characters and preferences.
Every morning around 8 a.m., our popular farm tour takes place with Martina, where children and adults can help with animal care: letting out chickens, feeding horses, watering cows, filling hay nets for donkeys, moving sheep to pasture.
This heritage-protected farm has a long history. The oldest building dates from 1699, and the main house with holiday apartment was built in 1799. The farm is located in Dobschütz, a hamlet of Nossen with only 6 residents, likely Saxony's smallest settlement. In late 2018, we fulfilled our dream of owning our own farm.

Do I have to register for the animal care session? No, it always takes place and everyone is welcome to take part (even spontaneously).
Can I book a donkey trek? Of course, this can be done spontaneously here on site.
Every morning and evening, young and old can take part in the animal care rounds (feeding chickens, driving sheep to pasture, bringing water to donkeys, taking horses to pasture, etc.)
Tame and cuddly animals on the farm (chickens, geese, sheep, donkeys, horses, cows, cats)
Historic, listed estate in an absolutely secluded location in the middle of fields and meadows (deer, foxes and other wild animals can often be seen)
Beautiful starry sky due to lack of light pollution (no street lamps)
Beautiful, heated family bathroom with shower, toilet and sink
small playground with slide, trampoline, swings, sandpit, children's toys
Fresh eggs can be purchased
We only rent out one pitch for wonderful peace and quiet in nature. You can choose between a pitch in the middle of the green meadow with a view over the fields and a paved pitch on the edge of the farmyard.

Cancellation Policy

Guests who cancel at least 14 days before check-in will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excluding Campspace fees). If they cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund. Otherwise they will not be refunded. If the host does not accept the reservation, guests will receive a full refund.

Rules

We offer 2 pitches, from which you can choose one (we only rent out one pitch). One pitch is unpaved on a meadow, directly behind the donkey enclosure with a clear view of the fields. The donkeys are very quiet and only do their IAH once or twice a day. The other pitch is paved and is right on the edge of our yard next to the chicken coop (pictures to follow). The rooster crows in the morning at sunrise. Electricity is free up to 10kWh/day. Since we have our own biological sewage treatment plant, it is not possible to empty your chemical toilet with us.
