Glastonbury festival Pennard Hill gate is 3k quiet walk away on country lanes. We have a lovely 2 acre orchard and garden available to camp in. Separate lane access, private spots amongst the trees. Lovely walks around quiet country lanes, fields and Coombe. 5 miles from Glastonbury town , 50 min drive in to Bath and Bristol. 1 outside toilet. A dog wash outside tap and sink. Some hot water available. You can charge phone in the stable. We often put a teepee up for communal access. There is a bonfire area where you can have a fire, or you can have a fire pit up the garden.
We are in a small village. No facilities. Nearest shop is 4K. Working cider farm with bee hives. Cider always available .. honey occasionally. Well behaved dogs ok. Please pick up after your dog and please be considerate of neighbours.
3k from Pennard gate into Glastonbury Festival.

Tips

  • Lots of great pubs around. But not in the hamlet of Parbrook.

  • Take a walk up Glastonbury Tor to see the sunrise/set!

Peaceful and pretty garden. Camping is in the orchard which is very secluded and quiet.  Friendly owners and lovely dog. Would definitely recommend.

How was the contact with the host?
Friendly host

Tips for new guests?
Very tight space to get through gate from narrow lane. We were in a vw which was fine (but tight) so probably not suitable for a bigger camper van or motor home.

What a beautiful place to camp. Enjoy the tranquility between the apple trees. The children have a great time on the trampolines, but especially with a rope that they can swing with. The toilet is clean, there is a place to charge the phone and I was given wood to make a campfire. There is a BBQ that can be used (I didn't).
There is also a tipi where you can sit and the place is nicely lit with solar lights in the evening.

How was the contact with the host?
Lisa is incredibly friendly and helpful. She pointed us to a beautiful place nearby to swim in a river. We got a bottle of homemade apple juice, delicious!
If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be camping here!

Tips for new guests?
Nearby is a stream where you can jump off a bridge and swim. That is really recommended!
