About this location

Our yurt is located in Hoogmade, beside our farm, in a small orchard with 2 pear trees, 2 apple trees, a plum tree and a cherry tree. You have complete privacy, as it is surrounded by a large hedge (which is bare in winter) and water. You have views of the polder, where our horses graze.

We have a transparent dome, which means it is light when it is light outside. If you find that bothersome, you could bring a sleeping mask.

There is a BBQ present.
No campfires are allowed.

We do not serve breakfast.
There is a TV present.

There is wifi available.

Coffee and tea can be enjoyed unlimited.
There is a 2-burner induction cooktop with pans available.

There is also the possibility of visiting a cheese farm. (not on Sundays)
In the area there are beautiful cycling and walking routes. On 5 minutes by car you can swim at open water swimming spots in the region. Dogs welcome too.

No smoking, fonduing or grilling is allowed in the yurt due to air circulation in the fabric.

Dogs are very welcome. They can roam freely in the enclosed garden.
There is a private parking space with room for 1 car.

It is not wheelchair friendly.

Leiden is nearby, here you can visit many attractions.

I'm Gemma and I'm lucky enough to live in this beautiful place. To be able to share this with others I decided to join campspace.

Tips

  • Get farm cheese from the neighbor's cheese farm.

  • There are beautiful cycling and walking routes in Kaag and Braassem and 5 minutes by car is a beautiful swimming spot, the wide Aa in Woubrugge, where you can swim in open water.

  • A 5-minute drive away in the village is the restaurant "kom eten" and "de kromme does" and at the roundabout along the A4 the Polderfabriek, a brasserie.
