Nice micro-camping away from the crowd.

About this campspace #s003835
Our camping field is located on our 3 hectare site in the garden of Groningen, the beautiful Westerkwartier where people are always surprised by the changing landscape with its meadows and fields, swamps, heather and peat lakes and wood canals. There may be a maximum of 5 tents and / or caravans or campers. Until July 1, only self-sufficient guests due to sanitary use. Just back to basic enjoy the beautiful surroundings and unwind. In the common room there is a fully equipped kitchen, there is a pool table, pinball machine, shuffleboard and dart board, a cupboard full of books, magazines, games and craft supplies. So you can enjoy yourself here in bad weather.
There is a fire pit on the site where you can make a campfire. There is plenty of space for children to build huts or jump on the trampoline, cuddle with our pony Tequila, feed chickens, collect farm-fresh eggs themselves. Within cycling distance there is the barefoot path that children often cannot get enough of. From our location you can take beautiful walks, our pasture has its own walking path that has been made possible by Routebureau Groningen and is included in the walking network of nodes. You can also cycle our self-marked surprise cycle routes of various lengths. We have one ladies and one men's bicycle that can be rented if necessary. Walking routes such as Pettenpad, Melle's pad, Pebe's pad, Abel Tasmanpad, Kale Jonkerpad, Witte Nonnenpad, Leedaanzggerspad and the beautiful Curringheveld are all in the immediate vicinity. Wifi is available, but our motto is: “There is no wifi in the forest, but a better connection ”. You can also find us on Facebook Guest Farm Lucaswolde. Or via www.gastenboerderij-lucaswolde.nl, which is in the air but is still being worked on.

The owners were very nice and hospitable. The field with a view of corn and a horse was fine and sheltered (vegetation on both sides). There was a fire pit and some wood we were allowed to use, very cosy! The driveway just went with our 3:15m high camper, here and there pushed a branch up. Toilet and shower on the other side of the farm. Tip: take some groceries with you, the shops are not right around the corner.

Dirk and Hendrieke are super hospitable. They have made their entire yard visitor-friendly. There is a walking path through the garden and a common room full of walking maps and books. I was allowed to enter immediately upon arrival, was given a drink and immediately the photo books were on the table and stories were told. I felt like I was visiting an aunt and uncle, and not complete strangers. I was introduced to the super sweet granddaughter and the horse Tequila. The camping pitches are spacious and have a wide view over the countryside. There is a nice silence here and the quiet roads around the farm are suitable for quiet (evening) walks and bike rides. This is a wonderful place for anyone who wants to be in nature and who enjoys an extensive warm welcome including a tour of the garden.
