We are still busy with the renovation of our farm, but would like to share our beautiful place with others, we have been doing that for a few years now through our [self-service] tea garden and the rental of our log cabin, antique caravan and the rental of our communal space for parties. and workshops, our guests can also cook, play games and play pool here. We like to reuse materials as much as possible. Our motto is "there is no WiFi in the woods, but there is a better connection".

Tips

  • Collect farm-fresh eggs yourself.

  • Enjoy the barefoot path.

It was very nice! We got picked up at the bus station so we didn't have to walk that long and the farm is amazing. A lot of animals, a lot of space and it is super quite. The hosts were very kind and open. I would definitely come back!

How was the contact with the host?
Perfect. It was no problem to stay connected and the hosts always answered very fast.

Tips for new guests?
Come by car because it is quite far if you want to get to the city by bus.

Fab place. Wonderful couple, very helpful, friendly etc. The shower was wonderful. Fire pit and Barbi great. Everything clean and in good working order. Lots of walks, bike rides and the map to find them. Lovely place to find peaceful times.

Thank you both for a wonderful stay.

How was the contact with the host?
Great. Very "on the ball"

Tips for new guests?
The camping area is the lane just after the blue bike. Stop outside and ask.

We spontaneously went to Dirk and Hendrika's farm for two nights at Easter. Our children in particular immediately felt at home. Everything you need is there and Hendrika showed and explained everything to us. We were allowed to take wood and could make a nice fire in the fire barrel in the evening. The children were allowed to groom the pony and played and cuddled a lot with the cats.
We only used the lounge to wash up, but you can make yourself comfortable there, play games etc. and also cook. All basics such as spices and co are available.
Our pitch was very nice, with a view over the pastures. At breakfast we could even watch a stork on the side pasture. We really enjoyed the peace and nature.

How was the contact with the host?
Dirk and Henrika responded very quickly to our request one day before we arrived. We were greeted warmly and Henrika provided us with tips and cycling maps. The two told us about their farm and what else they are up to and planning. It was a very pleasant interaction. Thank you again for the nice little break with you!

Tips for new guests?
Definitely take a bike with you! The area is great to explore.

We stayed 2 nights with Dirk and Hendrika. We contacted them last minute and were able to contact them immediately. Clean and sufficient sanitary facilities and a well-equipped kitchen inside. Recommended!

How was the contact with the host?
Smooth and nice contact.

Tips for new guests?
We visited camping site De Watermolen about 6 kilometers away. They have a large pond where you can also swim / lie down for €2.5 in warm weather. Definitely fun with kids too!

It was great here! Me and my girlfriend spent two nights on the lawn behind the house, which had a beautiful view of the meadow. On the sides were rows of beautiful green trees and behind the meadow where the horse (Tequila) stood, you looked out into a field. A good quality toilet and shower were located in a separate building on the other side of the farm, from the field it was a short walk around the farm but it was still close by. Dirk and Hendrieke were incredibly nice and helpful! We felt very welcome here and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Inside the farm is a kitchenette that we could use when the door of the farm was open (this was when someone was around, usually all day). There is also a log cabin at the farm where other people slept, seemed to be a nice accommodation too. Hendrieke gave us good inside tips about walking routes, and a super cute and beautiful path runs around a meadow next to the farm, which is constantly shifted by them. Dirk and Hendrieke are busy renovating the farm and they told me about it with enthusiasm when I asked about it. Really a great choice this campspace, definitely recommended! Thanks Dirk and Hendrieke!

The owners were very nice and hospitable. The field with a view of corn and a horse was fine and sheltered (vegetation on both sides). There was a fire pit and some wood we were allowed to use, very cosy! The driveway just went with our 3:15m high camper, here and there pushed a branch up. Toilet and shower on the other side of the farm. Tip: take some groceries with you, the shops are not right around the corner.

We planned to stay for 4 nights at Dirk's campsite but left after two nights. The reason were the 4 cats at the site that followed us around all the time, tried to jump in your lap after seconds of sitting down (even jumping up and trying to climb up your pants with claws out) and jumping onto the camping table with burning candles. They even climbed onto the tent suring the night, which made it impossible for us to sleep well and even slightly damaged our tent. We know it sounds trivial, but it made it impossible for us to find the peace and quiet we were looking for.

The outdoor shower and toilet facilities were very simple but functional if you do not mind spiders and/or snails.

We also want to point out some positive points - the hosts were very kind and helpful. We were also allowed to use a kitchen that is fully equipped and has a small selection of items you can buy for a very reasonable price (eggs, beers, etc.)

Only book this place if you are an extremely cat-loving person and don't mind having to constantly look out for them.

How was the contact with the host?
Smooth, uncomplicated and reliable communication.
