About this location
Our camping field is located on our 3-hectare grounds in Lucaswolde, in the "Garden of Groningen," the beautiful Westerkwartier, where you are constantly surprised by the changing landscape with its meadows and fields, marshes, heathland, peat bogs, and wooded belts. A maximum of 5 tents and/or caravans or campers are allowed. Enjoy a back-to-basics experience, the beautiful surroundings, and truly unwind. The communal area features a fully equipped kitchen, a pool table, pinball machine, shuffleboard, and dartboard, as well as a cupboard full of books, magazines, games, and craft supplies. So, you can keep yourself well entertained here in case the weather isn't so nice. There is a fire pit on the grounds where you can enjoy a cozy campfire. There is plenty of space for children to build dens or jump on the trampoline, feed chickens, and collect farm-fresh eggs themselves. We also have a number of cats that are very social. Within cycling distance is the barefoot path, which children often can't get enough of. From our location, you can take beautiful walks; our meadow has its own walking path, made possible in part by Routebureau Groningen and included in the walking node network. You can also cycle surprise cycling routes of various lengths that we have mapped out ourselves. We have one ladies' and one men's bicycle available for rent. Walking routes such as Pettenpad, Melle's pad, Pebe's pad, Abel Tasmanpad, Kale Jonkerpad, Witte Nonnenpad, Leedaanzggerspad, and the beautiful Curringheveld are all in the immediate vicinity. Wi-Fi is available, but our motto is: “there is no Wi-Fi in the forest, but there is a better connection.”
