Cold drinking water and can have access to toilet and small washbasin during the day.   • We are close to Go Ape (Glentress Forest) for a thrilling treetop experience.

  • Lovely farmers' market outside the Eastgate Theatre every Saturday morning. Weekly market in East Station Car Park every Thursday.

  • Friendly local pubs within walking distance, some selling local beers or gins.

  • Several good cafes and restaurants within walking distance, or a short drive or cycle away you have Kailzie Courtyard Cafe, Dawyck Botanics Cafe and more.

    You will be camping in a naturally biodiverse small paddock on the edge of Peebles.

    Neidpath Castle is just a 20 minute walk along the river.

    Within travelling distance of Edinburgh, by bus or car. Smaller local towns easily reachable, including Galashiels (Great Tapestry of Scotland, Sir Walter Scott's Abbotsford).

    An abundance of birdlife and other wild animals to be seen in the area. We have spotted red squirrels, osprey, pine Martens and more in the immediate area.

  • Canoeing or kayaking

    Can be hired on the Tweed via external provider.

    On river within season, permit required.

    We permit small fires in a fire bowl or other apparatus which protects the ground and surrounding vegetation.
