About this location

Large grassy plot with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and mountains, located on the borders of the Corrèze, Cantal, and Lot departments. It lies at the end of a rural hamlet, on the edge of the vast forests bordering the Maronne Valley. A peaceful grassy area (bordered by a quiet country road), with a distant view of the Maronne River meanders (a tributary of the Dordogne) and the Cantal Mountains. I live on the upper part of the field, in a tiny house that you are welcome to visit if you wish! Foxes, roe deer, does, red kites, and great spotted woodpeckers regularly visit us... and the hosts can tell you more about these species as well as the surrounding edible plants, which often feature in their meals. Numerous walks are available on the property, between meadows and forest. Various tourist sites within 10-12 km: Towers of Merle, Towers of Carbonnières, City of Argentat sur Dordogne, Laroquebrou, Gorges de la Cère... Other remarks The first bakery-grocery store is 7.5 km away, but it is possible to have it come to us (mobile business) on Tuesdays and Fridays in the late morning by simply calling the day before or the morning of.

Gently sloping farmland, mowed by a farmer in late spring, accessible via a separate entrance, with some shaded areas (walnut, oak, and chestnut trees) depending on the time of day. Please note that access to the hamlet is difficult for larger vehicles (those over 9 meters in combined length). A water tap is available on the property, located approximately 20 meters from the host's house. You can also charge your phone and use the dry toilet in the Tiny House. Amenities include Wi-Fi access within 20 meters of the Tiny House. A compost bin for your organic food waste (vegetables, fruit, eggs) is located in a corner of the property. A small 2-3 person tent is available for loan.
