Sleep in a bell tent with a private woodland on this site—eco-conscious, lo-fi camping on one of the Flemish Ardennes' summits.

Explore workshops (weaving, tufting, bamboo box making) and retro bikes to discover the region, or cycle to the eco-wellness family retreat.

Whether alone, as a couple, or with children, you'll find comfort in a furnished glamping tent sleeping two or six. Want more space? Book both tents together for a group of eight! Dogs welcome. Cook on a gas stove, enjoy running water, a compost toilet, solar-powered electricity, and board games. The tents sit atop the Berendries in Brakel, once part of a medieval trade route between Oudenaarde and Ninove. Today it connects Michelbeke and Sint-Maria Oudenhove—a true hiking and cycling paradise. The climb features in major cycling races including the Ronde, Omloop van het Nieuwsblad, and Driedaagse De Panne-Koksijde. Bring your walking boots and cycling gear!

We are Charlotte, Stephen and Zsuzsanna.
This eco-camping project grew from Charlotte and Stephen's desire to spend more quality time as a family, away from the hustle of daily life. To be more in nature, to enjoy, play and discover together as a family—all with minimal impact on the environment. Sustainable tourism at its heart!
Stephen is the visionary and builder, with the ultimate goal of making the project fully self-sufficient and enhancing the site's biodiversity.
Charlotte drives the workshops and creates the welcoming atmosphere in the tents, crafting the ceramics you'll eat and drink from.
Zsuzsanna is our inspiration and tests everything first. With a critical eye, she ensures quality control.

Tips

  • Lay yourself alone or with two in the hammock in the bush and look at the stars through the atrium! And after the stars you have a drink in the flying saucer, a cafe on the Marktplein.

  • Walk along the old miners' path and have a drink in the boombekemolen.
