I love this place, it truly is my happy place, we camped on and off for 3 weeks with Charlie trying different sites on his farm. I have never found a place like this before and Charlie is a true gentleman, kind and easy going. I feel I've found a hidden gem and don't want to tell anyone about it.
How was the contact with the host?
Excellent communication, Charlie is an absolute star.
Tips for new guests?
You are wild camping, although there are porta loos and Charlie brings water but other than that you are totally off grid and in nature.

Huge plot with plenty of space. Wish we had a bigger tent to be fair 😅. Quiet and peaceful with loads of wildlife. I like that it’s private and we wasn’t bothered by anyone. Clear night skies for star gazing.
We loved our stay here and wish we had booked a few extra days.
How was the contact with the host?
The host Charlie was always readily available when needed. If you had any problems or needed anything extra he was always more than helpful.
Tips for new guests?
We came in the summer and it still gets a little chilly at night so bring a few extra layers. The temperature fluctuates and can be hot one second and freezing cold an hour later come evening.
Loads of flies and other insects so maybe bring some bug repellent to help if your the type to get bothered by them.
No shade in the open space. So maybe bring something to provide a little shade such as a gazebo or umbrella.
The path to the campsite can get a little bumpy. I Would advise to travel in a vehicle thats more suited for the terrain.
You can purchase wood from the host but i would advise to pop into b and q and purchase some kindling to make it easier to get the fire going.
No big super markets near by so come prepared. Just bring extra water. We parked in our campsite so do not worry about carrying heavy loads. You will have the comfort of being able to store stuff in your vehicle.
😁 Hope This Was Helpful 😁

Beautiful place, to get away from everything, we loved every moment of it. Quite a magical place to be. We will be back again.
How was the contact with the host?
Charlie & his family are asolutely lovely, they swing by to check you're OK but other than that you wouldn't know they are there.
Tips for new guests?
Explore your piece of campsite and enjoy being in nature. Take lots of water with you although you are give a very large container.

Host contact great. 5 stars for my requirements. To get away from people. Light a fire and enjoy being in the elements of nature. Very, very basic facilities but that suited our group just fine. Next time we are booking the gorgeous looking woodland sites. Hoping to go again in a few weeks. That's how much we loved it. ☺️

The host was excellent. The location was different to what we were expecting, it was still good. Tips for future guests: it’s clear on the listing the water tap is far away, so make sure you bring lots of water containers. Also keep waste to a minimum, as there’s a fee if you leave more than 3 rubbish bags. Also, it’s very handy, as Charlie sells essentials like wood and ice. Saved us having to drive to a shop!
