About this location

Looking for a peaceful and scenic camping spot in the Vosges? Consider our meadow near the forest edge, located in the south of the Vosges in Lorraine and part of the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges. Our location is perfect for camping enthusiasts, offering complete privacy and tranquility, situated 5 km from the nearest village. We rent only 1 spot so you are the only guest, alone or with your family or friends. It is possible to place an extra tent if you want to come with several people but please let us know in advance. Take notice that the maximum height for vehicles is 2.30 meters due to a small bridge. Guests have access to their own bathroom and a simple kitchen in the house, which is only 50 meters away. Also the porch by the caravan is free to use (comfortable when it rains!) since the caravan will not be rented to other guests while there are guests for the camping spot. The area is a great starting point for hiking and biking, with famous cols such as Ballons d'Alsace and Le Grand Ballon located nearby. Our meadow is available for camping from May until October. We are a Dutch couple and Ivan our dog. We live part of the year in France where we are always busy with the house (old farmhouse) and the garden. We have walked and cycled a lot in the area, but still discover new paths. We love the Vosges, for its forests, mountains and valleys, beautiful views, the vastness of the area .... and the silence.

Tips

  • First week of August often means shooting stars .. In Remiremont the old city center has a lot of nice shops

  • One of the many interesting places is the Chapel of Ronchamp, designed by Corbusier

  • In summer every Friday nigth 6-9 pm: market in Girmont, local meat, vegetables, cheese ....

  • For good local food and great atmosphere go to Auberge Le St.Vallier (3 km). Or for fine menus with excellent deserts Hotel La Résidence !!
