About this location

The Woodlander is a private, exclusive campsite -one site only- on The Little Garden Farm, a small 100-acre forest and pasture property on South Bruny Island that we began restoring and improving in 2023.
Set at the base of Bruny’s isthmus, the farm enjoys cool sea breezes in summer and mild temperatures in winter, making it a comfortable place to camp year-round for those who enjoy being close to nature. While feeling remote and peaceful, The Woodlander is centrally positioned on South Bruny Island, with easy access to Alonnah, Adventure Bay, and much of what Bruny has to offer.

    Plenty of parking space for two vehicles and caravans. the site is a tow in to the right, then back down to campsite.

    Bicycles can be stored undercover on 'The Hut' if needed. We also have a full workshop on site if you need to do repairs.

I am lucky enough to live on beautiful Bruny Island with my family. Part of a family who has been farming for many generations. We love food (and growing food!!), the outdoors, country culture and the serenity of country living.
Happy to make your stay on Bruny Island memorable.

    We are slowly developing the vegetable garden, concentrating on salad greens with vegetables and flowers. We offer garden tours which are informal 'one on one' style tours talking and tasting.

    We produce vegetables, herbs and flowers in season on the farm, 600m from the campsite.

    Mountains can be accessed to the south in Bruny Island's forest reserves.

    Bruny has a lot of forest from dry sclerophyl, to rain forest and a touch of alpine forest.

    The nearest coast is a few minutes away, and the waves can often be heard from the campsite.
