About this location

When I was younger, I often had a backpack on my back, always ready to discover new lands...now married to a farmer, my escapades are rare...so I am delighted to welcome backpackers and families into our home...to whom I can show our beautiful Auvergne region...to continue to meet wonderful people and "travel" a little with my hosts.

Land in the middle of fields in the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Park. You will fall asleep with the owls and wake up to the song of the birds
PR paths pass at the foot of the farm where you can walk to the Saint Anne Chapel which offers a beautiful panorama of the Sancy ... or choose to follow the stream..Saint-Saturnin is a historic village with pretty monuments you are near the Lake of Aydat where you can swim (10 km), rent canoes, paddle pedalos ... You will find in the village a small grocery store, a bakery, a local produce market on Saturday morning.
On Wednesday evenings there is a large Norturne market in Champeix (10 km). You can also go down the Allier by canoe or go to Vulcania, I will be happy to show you these places.

The site is accessible via two dirt tracks where you need to drive slowly...some areas are shaded...the choice is yours. Regarding the facilities, I built a shower cabin in the middle of the woods with a small water tank (20 liters) that heats up with the sun. A dry toilet is available, which you must empty into the compost bin before your departure. You can fill your jerrycans at the various fountains in the village, or we can fill them for you at the house. Amenities include a table made of pallets and logs set up under the trees, as well as a slackline and a barefoot obstacle course for children. A 3-person tent (without equipment) is available for loan free of charge.
