About this location

It is possible that we will be away for a day, making shower and toilet facilities unavailable. Located 500 meters from the organic Jeanjean olive grove and the vineyards of Château l'Ermite d'Auzan, cultivated biodynamically and using aromatherapy, as well as the Estagel priory's bull ranch and restaurant, in the heart of the old chapel, in a picturesque and welcoming setting. In summer, you will also have access to our swimming pool for an additional fee. As there is a swimming pool on the property, we ask guests with young children to ensure they are old enough to swim or remain under constant supervision. At the gateway to the Camargue, in a traditional Provençal farmhouse (mas) located between Nîmes (12 km), Arles (12 km), and Avignon (50 km), where we welcome festival-goers, we offer three pitches, two of which are shaded (under the pine trees). Close to the Mediterranean Sea (35 minutes away) (Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, Grau-du-Roi, La Grande-Motte, etc.), the property boasts three large gardens and a terrace where you can dine. Between the Costières and the Camargue, there are numerous walks and bike rides to enjoy. Our swimming pool is available from June for €10 per day. The beaches are 35 minutes away. The Maison Carrée in Nîmes (12 km) has recently been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Saint-Gilles, 5 km away, is located on the Way of St. James (Camino de Santiago) starting from Arles, along the Via Egidiana or Via Tolosana. The Via Rhôna offers superb routes for cycling. The section from Saint-Gilles to Aigues-Mortes is one of those that will charm you, winding between canals, marshes, and vineyards. A 32 km (2-hour) bike ride, ideal for beginners or families with children, and easily achievable. The town is the first stop on this route (the GR 653) which crosses southern France for nearly 950 kilometers from Arles to Punta la Reina, the meeting point of the four French routes. This first stage covers 21.7 kilometers through the Camargue landscapes. A visit to Montpellier is also possible. Other notes: Arrival in Saint-Gilles is after crossing the Petit Rhône via the road bridge. The route then ascends through the suburbs and the canal district, passing the abbey church, a must-see for pilgrims seeking spiritual nourishment.
