About this location

A simple little cabin in a magnificent setting, far from the noise and lights of the city. Ideal for lovers of nature and calm.
A bedroom with 2 bunk beds, benches in the living room and the possibility of pitching tents next to the cabin.
The land is 10 minutes walk from the road (250m) and 400m from our house in a bucolic and quiet setting, with a magnificent view of the Loire gorges, the Pays de Sucs and the Château d'Artias.
Please note: access is either on foot or with an all-terrain vehicle via a track.
The equipment is basic, no hot water, outdoor solar shower, dry toilet in separate shed, small solar panel for a minimum of electricity, no fridge, gas stove.
Activities
A hiking path passes next to the land, possibility of hiking on Mont Miaune or going down into the Loire gorges.
Retournac with its shops (bakeries, grocery store/local crafts, supermarket) is 5 kilometers away.
In summer, swimming in the Loire and the outdoor swimming pool in Retournac.
Le Puy is 40 minutes by car, Saint Etienne 1 hour.
The nearest train station is in Retournac.
Weekly market in Retournac on Wednesday morning.
I offer basket weaving courses on site.
Other remarks
You will have the opportunity to purchase local and organic products (vegetables, jams and syrups) directly from us in the village, because we are producers.
We do not recommend accessing the area by car, the track is quite stony and some sections are sloping.

It is possible to park a vehicle a few meters from the roadside.
It may be possible to park directly on the site with an all-terrain vehicle.

No sanitary facilities for the moment, but you can use our dry toilets (access without passing through our accommodation, less than 100m away).
There is a well on the property (non-potable water).
Installation of dry toilets and a solar shower on the site planned!
The amenities
No kitchen or electricity. It is possible to plug in at our place (minimum 60m extension lead) or to charge your appliances. A cooler with ice packs can be lent for the duration of your stay, and a can of drinking water can also be lent if required.
Construction of an open-air kitchen planned.

I have been living in the countryside for several years with my partner and my daughter, we are producers.
We will be happy to welcome travelers to our home and perhaps we will have the opportunity to find places to spend our holidays on this site.
