Puivert has the particularity of being composed of a town center, 14 hamlets and 13 isolated farms on a total surface of 41 km².
Ideally located, at 480 m of altitude, on the departmental road 117 which connects Perpignan to Bayonne, Puivert benefits from an exceptional climate, neither too hot in summer, nor too cold in winter.
With 80% of coniferous and 20% of deciduous trees, the forest of Puivert covers 2300 hectares.
