2-NIGHT MINIMUM STAY. My campsite and gîtes are registered with the Pontenx-les-Forges town hall and are partners of the Mimizan Tourist Office. The campsite is very comfortable, quiet, and secure, well-equipped, fully fenced, and accessible 24/7 via a keypad gate. The entire site can be privatized. Small groups of up to 20 people are welcome. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint as much as possible. This has been successfully tested. This year, new facilities have been added to the existing amenities for your comfort, which I haven't yet photographed. These include: a large 6m x 6m marquee with lighting, under which you will find tables and chairs for shade or shelter from the rain; a second dry toilet; a dedicated cooking area (with your own camping stove); and a double stainless steel sink for washing dishes. Come and recharge your batteries far from the crowds, in a peaceful clearing 20 minutes from the ocean, under centuries-old oak and hazelnut trees (shade available). Located at the far end of our flat, sandy property, bordering the forest, far from the hustle and bustle of seaside resorts or crowded campsites. Situated at the end of a residential cul-de-sac, next to the forest, within walking distance of the village center. English spoken - I speak a little Spanish - I parlo un poco italiano pero lo capisco abbastanza bene. Ideal for a peaceful stay in a charming and well-equipped location. Small, registered campsite on private land. A quiet spot suitable for guests wishing to enjoy the coastline, the ocean, lakes, and the forest. Children under 9 years old cannot be accommodated. Pets are not allowed – not even well-behaved, small, or friendly ones. No vans or other vehicles are permitted on the grounds, only tents. Vehicles are parked at the entrance to the property to ensure the peace and quiet of the campers. However, if you wish to stay in a caravan, van, or motorhome, please contact me to discuss the possibilities. The aim is to avoid any traffic near the tents. The site is fenced and secure, bordering the forest, and offers a peaceful setting. There is direct access to the cycle path and the village center via the forest (a 10-minute walk), as well as to the sports complex and children's playground. Two very pleasant dry toilets and one dry urinal (all always clean and odor-free), large outdoor showers (with hot water available), a toilet area, a dishwashing area with two large sinks, a storage shed for your equipment, and this year a large 36 m² marquee will protect you from the sun or rain during your meals, complete with tables and chairs and, of course, solar lighting. A freezer is available 24/7 for freezing ice packs, and you can independently recharge your phones and power banks. There is no electricity on the property. Drinking water is available at all times, and hot water is provided via a dedicated tap. I can lend ice packs and a cooler. Solar lights are installed wherever needed throughout the property. It is possible to privatize the entire site for a family gathering or other event, yoga retreat, workshops of all kinds (campsite only or site + 4-person canvas bungalow), provided that the activities do not cause any disturbance. Activities include cycling – the cycle path is directly accessible from the site in 3 minutes through the forest. The ocean is 18 km away (on flat terrain) by road or cycle path (50 minutes by bike or 20 minutes by car). The beaches of the lakes – Gastes, Parentis, and Biscarrosse – are also accessible by bike, with some sections on small roads. Other remarks: Please note that the prices indicated are for a tent pitch. Prices vary depending on the season (high season from July 15th to August 19th). Discounts are offered for longer stays. Very long stays are possible (over 15 days). For all other types of vehicles (caravans, vans, and motorhomes), please contact me as I can accommodate them under certain conditions (no motorhomes during peak season). For stays longer than 14 nights, please contact me for a discount based on the length of your stay. The campsite is located equidistant between Bordeaux and Biarritz/Bayonne, south of the Arcachon Basin, and also about an hour from Spain. A few chickens will be your companions. It's on the Vélodyssée cycle route. The charming village offers all amenities and more – except for an ATM and petrol station. A tourist tax is applied in addition to the pitch fee between June 15th and September 30th.
