Imagine this: you pitch your tent among the gentle hills of Umbria, the sunlight colors the surrounding valleys golden yellow, and from your camping chair you look out over a landscape that seems to have stepped straight out of a painting. Welcome to Glamping, a small-scale, peaceful campsite high in the hills of Central Italy. Your pitch is located on our grounds in Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Italy and officially recognized as one of the 'Borghi più belli d'Italia'. Here the air is clean, the nights are full of stars, and the only thing to wake you up in the morning is the birdsong. The pitches are spaciously laid out so that you have enough privacy, while still maintaining the feeling of being part of a warm, small camping community. On the grounds, you will find sanitary facilities and a cozy communal area where you can chat with other guests or simply quietly enjoy a glass of local wine. In the immediate vicinity, there are plenty of opportunities for hikes through the Apennines, bike rides past Umbrian vineyards, and day trips to places like Città di Castello, Umbertide, or the beautiful Tiber Valley. Those who wish can also simply spend the entire day on the grounds and cook their own pasta using ingredients from the local market. This is camping as it is meant to be: simple, authentic, and surrounded by breathtaking nature. Not a large-scale holiday park, but a place where you truly unwind and feel life move at a slower pace. Exactly as it should be in Umbria.

Your spot on the campsite For tent campers, we have eight spacious grassy pitches available, designated as T-20, T-21, T-22, T-28, T-29, T-30, T-31, and T-33. All pitches are situated on level grass and are shaded, ensuring you stay nice and cool even on the hottest summer days. Each tent pitch has an electricity connection, handy for charging devices or a small cool box. Do you have a smaller setup in mind? Then pitches DTP-32 and DTP-34 are especially for you; these are designed for tents up to a maximum of 5 by 7 meters and offer the same peace and shade in a somewhat more intimate setting. Are you arriving with a caravan or motorhome? Then pitches C-26, C-27, C-35, and C-36 are specially designed for you. These pitches are easily accessible. Just like the tent pitches, they are situated on level grass with shade and are all equipped with an electricity connection.

Your host, Elwin

Elwin and Yvette extend a warm welcome to you! Together with our four teenagers, we live in Umbria and have been the proud owners of Camping Luna del Monte since 2026. Olivier, Pepijn, Fiene, and Cato actively help out at the campsite, and together we create a lovely, personal atmosphere. A place to relax, right in the heart of nature. A warm welcome.
