About this location

Our campsite is located in the recreational area of ​​the same name near Machern, just outside Leipzig. Its convenient and well-connected location in northern Saxony makes day trips to Leipzig or Dresden easily accessible. Cycling tours along the Mulde River, to Machern Castle Park, or Püchau Castle are also highly recommended. The campsite has been around since the 1970s and retains much of its original charm, while also incorporating modern amenities and unspoiled, landscaped natural surroundings. The lake invites you to swim, rent a pedal boat, or simply enjoy watching the swans and ducks. We don't have designated pitches, so unless it's a holiday or weekend, there's usually a nice spot available without prior inquiry or reservation.
