About this location

We welcome you to our private garden, located 70 meters from our house, with good cheer and a desire to share our passion for travel and meeting new people. We are situated in a small village in the Jura region, between Baume-les-Messieurs, Château-Chalon, and Lake Chalain. This small village, located on the first plateau of the Jura mountains, has a bakery/grocery store 150 meters from our garden and the village cheese factory, which produces Comté cheese, of course, but also a local specialty: Bleu de la Marre. Our village is also the departmental capital of skittles (a traditional Franche-Comté sport), and you can discover this game in the village square, just a few hundred meters away. In our village, you can explore hiking trails, dry-stone huts, and cycling routes. In the nearest neighboring village (3 km away), you will find various activities: electric scooter tours, horseback riding and relaxing massages, visits to a castle (Mirebel), and swimming in Lake Chalain (the closest lake). You will also find every Wednesday evening from June to September in the village of Granges sur Baume (5 kms) a festive producers' market with food and music.

Water is stored in the garden and can be refilled at our house. Electricity is available at our house.
