In the middle of the nature reserve lies the gem of the approx. 140 hectare Hohner See. It is the last remaining shallow lake in the Eider-Treene-Sorge lowlands. Due to its special location, it serves as a breeding and resting place for numerous rare bird species. This unique nature can be easily visited and explored on marked cycling and hiking trails.
