Base Camp is easy to reach with picnic tables, fire pit and water supply. Designated tent areas allow for level camping. We have parked up to 40 foot RVs in there. There are many primitive camp sites out in the preserve's twenty one acres including The Watering Holes, Lightning Tree and the Otter Creek Camp.

There are no facilities but there are lots of restaurants and hotels nearby.

Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in date will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excl. Campspace fees). If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund. Otherwise they will not be refunded.

Respect the Land
Extinguish completely all fires before leaving.
Do not burn cedar logs, they are for furniture. Find and cut your own firewood from downed oak trees, etc.
Respect the neighbors of the base camp.
Pets allowed but be mindful of wild and local animals.
Wear appropriate and safe clothing including boots, gloves, when necessary.
Obey all State and County Laws.
Wilderness dangers include snakes, spiders, porcupines, skunks, wild boar, sunburn.
Frequently seen wildlife include owls, wood peckers, otters, deer, bobcat, squirrel, opossum, raccoons
