Idyllic little place with a tranquil village community center. Frog concerts while watching the sunset in the evening and goats bleating while walking at sunrise in the morning. Nestled in the Frießnitzer See nature reserve. Starting point for numerous activities. From art (Otto Dix town of Gera), to history (Osterburg Weida) to nature conservation (Brehm memorial), leisure (golf course, dam, outdoor pool, climbing park), food (bakery, ice cream parlor, Thuringian restaurants) or even a goat hike visit to the Struth-Gut L(i)ebenswert, everything is there. Only the view of the GDR drying silo spoils the rural idyll somewhat. Definitely worth a stay!!! Or a stopover for time with goats.
