We are a family with two children and live in a beautiful, old mill. For several years, we have been ecologically renovating the buildings, taking great pleasure in the old wood, clay, and natural building materials that were used hundreds of years ago. Here you'll find a natural property with plenty of space, tall, shady trees and sunny spots, a stream, fish ponds, a large vegetable garden with a polytunnel, sheep, chickens, and affectionate cats. You can have a campfire in the evenings and cook with fresh, local produce. Because the animals roam freely in the meadow, dogs are not allowed. The mill is located just outside the nearest village, right next to a large farm. They practice agriculture according to Demeter principles, and you can walk from your campsite on our meadow to their farm shop within a minute. There, you can buy bread and rolls, fresh raw milk, and much more seven days a week, or simply visit the farm and its animals. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking or cycling. For example, you can explore the Burgwald forest or cycle to Cölbe or Marburg via the well-connected bike path. There's a well-stocked supermarket in the village (about 1 km away). We're happy to pack egg and vegetable baskets for you, depending on availability and season. The house has an outdoor toilet with hot and cold water. Electricity can be provided upon request using an extension cord. A large fire pit and firewood are also available upon request! Please be mindful of minimizing litter and noise. And one more thing: We embrace diversity, not uniformity. Queer people are welcome. We are adamant about right-wing extremism. We respect all living beings – plants, animals, and humans.
