About this location

We are located in the mountains of Catadau, Valencia, on a plateau at an altitude of 200 meters. Surrounded by mountains, you can relax, work, or stroll in this peaceful setting, just a 10-minute drive (1.5-hour walk) from the nearest town and 40 minutes by car from the city of Valencia and the beach. To get here, we look forward to seeing you by car or other vehicle; there is no public transport. We have a shower, a kitchen, and a composting toilet. During July and August, we have a small saltwater pool. We invite you to learn about our water reuse project, so you can participate in a completely ecological project that uses natural products and water conservation practices. We make traditional Valencian paella; please check availability beforehand. We make it ourselves, so reserve it in advance to enjoy this typical local dish. We can also prepare breakfast for you if you'd like to leave early or be more comfortable. We are located next to a mountain trail suitable for biking and hiking. Ideal if you're traveling with children. Being in the mountains, it's quiet, but sometimes our dogs and our neighbors' dogs bark at night. Activities include walks, hiking, or cycling. Other aspects: It's recommended to bring drinking water or a filter, as we have water available, but it's not potable.

For sanitary facilities, we have a composting toilet with a sink and a hot shower. We ask that you use organic products, as the water and waste are used for the fields. We use rainwater for showering and cooking, as we are not connected to the mains electricity supply, so we ask that you be mindful of its use. If you are coming from outside Spain, you won't have any problem with the connection, but if you have Spanish providers (except Vodafone or Lowi), we cannot guarantee a connection, although it is becoming more common every day. There is a connection 5 minutes away from the village. If needed, we can lend you the phone for calls or internet access. We have a gas stove. In the common areas, there is electricity and sockets, but since we have solar panels, we ask that you use them responsibly. You can charge mobile phones and other devices without problems, preferably during the day. We cannot provide vehicle electrical hookups, as the system cannot handle it.
