About this location

Private country land in Sicily with beautiful panoramic view over the Madonie mountains.
Our land is located on the top of a hill. From there, you will enjoy a fantastic panoramic view on the Madonie mountains. The place is rich in wild plants and trees. In summer we harvest manna from the ash trees. It is an old tradition which has now only survived in the area on Sicily. Manna is edible and used in natural medicine, cosmetics and pastries.
Beaches: the first beaches (quiet and mostly frequented by locals) are 9km far (15 min by car). Cefalù beach: 15km.
The land is located in the Madonie Natural Park (40,000 hectares). It is one of the richest places in biodiversity in the whole Mediterranean. The park is part of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network.
We are nature guides (Madonie Explorers) and organize hikes as well as experiences in the Madonie.
Cultural visits: towns of Cefalù and Castelbuono, many small villages around.

Please note that our land is only accessible by foot (400m walking up), not by car. At your arrival we will bring your things up with our jeep or by quad (we will also bring them down when you leave).

Hi there! We're Laetitia and Mario, and we live in Castelbuono, a small town at the foot of the Madonie Mountains, in Sicily.
We welcome camping lovers who would like to settle their tent in our small corner of paradise: a land on the top of a hill overlooking the sea, the countryside and the mountains.
The place offers shaded tent spots for 3 or 4 tents, but we welcome only one couple/family/group at the same time.
Even in the heart of the Sicilian summer, it is well ventilated and not too hot.
Guests can enjoy their meals under a pergola equipped with a table and chairs.
We ask for a minimum stay of 2 adults for 2 nights.
