About this location

Auvers sur Oise, in the footsteps of Van Gogh and the Impressionists, with a direct line to Paris. You will be welcomed in the private garden of my house/artist's studio, planted with trees and calm on the banks of the river.
I own a small, single-storey artist's house/workshop in the center of a long waterside garden, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city despite its proximity to Paris.
It's a very quiet, bucolic place, with no night-time lighting.
You'll have a view of the river or the vegetable garden, and can walk to the center of Auvers sur Oise (15 minutes by the water's edge).
I'm new to the tourist accommodation business, so the welcome will be simple and homely. I or my partner (a musician and amateur gardener) will always be on hand if you need us, but will of course ensure your independence and privacy in the back garden.
The activities
Extensive cultural activities! (Museums, castles, guided tours, numerous restaurants, bars/concerts...)
Sports activities within easy reach: hiking, biking, fishing (you'll need a license), barge trips...
Of course, with direct access to Paris by train, bus and RER, you're never far away (Olympic Games, theme parks).

The plot is flat, shaded and covered with undergrowth grass. You can park your vehicle at the front of the plot. Access to the plot is only possible on foot or by bike from the front. You'll have to go around the house and through the vegetable garden to get there. On the other hand, a small gate will give you direct access, if you wish, to the towpath leading to the village, local shops, stations...
The sanitary facilities
The bathroom and sanitary facilities (bath, washbasin, WC) are those of the house, which will always be open to you within the limits of everyone's well-being, with regard to night-time hours of course. Access to drinking water in the grounds is via a simple garden hose.
The amenities
A small enclosed hut on the side of your pitch is equipped with electricity and can be used to store bicycles, small items of equipment or to recharge telephones...
Breakfast on the terrace is available on request, and a barbecue in the garden is also possible.
You can use the infrastructure of my house for bathing, toilets, washing machine...
The wifi connection varies according to the distance from the house, but is very good from the terrace to the cabin.
Kitchen equipment is available on loan. (crockery, cutlery...)
Tent ready
A tent for two people and an inflatable mattress can be lent to you on request and within the limit of my stock... This request must be made at the time of booking, and a supplement of 5 euros per tent will be charged.
