About this location

The cabins, immersed in the silence and peace of the Apulian countryside, far from the noise and stress of the city, will ensure you enjoy a restful sleep, lulled by the breeze and the chirping of crickets. The two cabins have a double bed that can be separated into two singles. At night, they are illuminated internally by fireflies on the ceiling, and externally by the starry Salento sky. The bathrooms (compostable toilet, shower, and sink) are outside, just a few steps from the cabins. The shared kitchen is located in a small wooden cabin next to the bathroom. For those who love nature, simplicity, and, of course, a spirit of adaptability, the land will give you the opportunity to enjoy contact with nature and your soul. We don't have electricity; everything here runs on 12 volts. The only thing you can't use is the hairdryer; otherwise, nothing is missing. I remind anyone who wants to visit me that there are insects, geckos, and lizards in the countryside, and I have 22 cats (for those who are allergic to any). The main cities (Mesagne and Brindisi) are both about 9 km from the Village. The sea is 15 km, the airport is 15 km, the hospital is 7 km, the shopping center is 5 km, Lecce is 30 minutes, and Valle d'Istria is 40 minutes. In front of the Village is a beautiful cork oak forest, a natural park. There are no bus connections to the city. For those arriving by train or plane, I can offer a shuttle service upon agreement on arrival and departure times. I cannot guarantee car service during your stay, nor transfers to the sea or tourist destinations. However, I can take you into the city, and from there you can use public transport or rent a car.     The toilet is outside and shared by all guests. It's a homemade, compostable toilet, so it doesn't flush. You cover your waste with sawdust, and then I'll empty and clean it.

    The shower stall is outside. Since there's no 220V electricity, the only thing you can't use here is a hairdryer. But the sun and wind provide for that.
