About this location
Welcome to Ballaigues, a small village in the canton of Vaud, nestled near the French border and surrounded by forests. The campsite is located on our property, right next to a farm, in a peaceful setting where you'll mostly hear birdsong and the wind rustling through the trees. The site is well-suited for vans, motorhomes, and rooftop tents. A traditional tent is also possible, but the ground can be a bit tricky for tent pegs, so bring your own depending on your equipment. For your convenience, you have access to water and electricity. Pets are welcome. A dog and three cats live here, so your four-legged friends will be in friendly territory. The surrounding area is a true playground for nature lovers. On a clear day, the Dent de Vaulion (1483 m) offers panoramic views of four lakes. Lake Joux, the largest lake in the Jura Mountains, can be explored on foot or by bike and offers beautiful beaches for swimming. The Orbe Gorges and the Saut du Day waterfall will delight hikers, and a 4km historical loop trail winds through the village, recounting its tourist past. For rainy days or family outings, the Vallorbe Caves (among the most beautiful in Europe), the Juraparc animal park (wolves, bears, bison), and the Fort de Pré-Giroud are all worth a visit, just a short drive away.

We are a family of four living in Ballaigues, a village in the Vaud Jura mountains perched at 860 meters altitude, nestled between fir forests and pastures. There's Tiffany, Dan, and our two boys, Eliot and Owen. The house also has four four-legged members: Buck, our dog, and three cats who share the garden. We love the simple life here: walks in the nearby forest, the tranquility of the village, and evenings outdoors when the weather permits. We wanted to share our little corner of nature with travelers looking for a peaceful spot to pitch their tent or park their campervan. We'd be happy to point you towards the most beautiful hikes in the area.

Cancellation Policy
Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in date will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excl. Campspace fees). If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund. Otherwise they will not be refunded. If the host does not accept the reservation, guests will receive a full refund.
