About this location

Enjoy the peace and nature at the back of our neighborhood, nestled among the farmlands. Hidden behind greenery, enjoying the sounds of various birds. Located on a quiet road with mostly local traffic and many cyclists, walkers, and of course, occasional agricultural vehicles. A beautiful sunset and a clear starry sky. Spotting roe deer in the field behind us, and across from our house, a small nature reserve for partridges and pheasants. We even have foxes next to our house. By bike, you can easily reach the beautiful Fochteloerveen and Appelscha. The center of Smilde is quick and easy to reach at approximately 1.5 km, featuring a shopping center with Jumbo and Aldi supermarkets, Action, Kruidvat, a bakery and butcher, a clothing store and bookstore, a chip shop, a shawarma shop, and a café. A bus stop is located 1.2 km away. We enjoy living here and want to share this extra space with you. The orchard is grassland, and there are no fixed pitches. It is small-scale; choose your own spot, naturally taking the other campers into account. Please observe silence from 10:30 PM onwards. Dog owners are also kindly requested to clean up any dog ​​droppings. We have electricity and hot and cold water points, and the entire garden is equipped with Wi-Fi. We have just installed a new toilet and shower facility, combined in one room. There is a small set of steps to reach the platform where the sanitary unit and washing facilities are located. For a small fee of €3.50, you can do laundry at our home, provided our washing machine is free at that moment. There is a drying rack behind our house where you can dry your laundry. The price of €25.00 for 2 people for 1 pitch includes tourist tax. For extra persons, we charge €10.00 per person. Note: during the winter season from October 30th to April 1st, you are welcome off-grid. NO sanitary facilities are open during this period. However, electricity and Wi-Fi are available. We look forward to your visit!

  • There is a wellness area at De Jonkershof, 2 neighborhoods further away on the Jonkerswijk. We have an indoor swimming pool in Smilde on the Boerenlaan and an outdoor swimming pool in Hoogersmilde.

  • Cycling enthusiasts can indulge themselves in this beautiful cycling environment. Our garden is adjacent to a cycle path from where you can cycle to the beautiful Fochteloerveen within a few km.

  • Bus stop 1 km away and a nice shopping center with supermarket, bakery, butcher. At Fa Bosma, about 2 km towards Hoogersmilde, you can exchange your gas bottle for a full one.

  • There is a pub about 2 km away.
