About this location

This camper pitch is located on a dead-end road in the Golden Triangle of three nature reserves: the Drents-Friese Woud, the Dwingelderveld, and the Leggelderveld with the Blauwe Meer (Blue Lake). The latter is our backyard, and you can walk straight into nature from there. The paved pitch is situated next to our house on a dead-end road, with a large lawn in front of you and a view of meadows and a forest edge behind it, where we regularly see roe deer. You will be the only camper there, so you won't be bothered by other campers. You are allowed to light a campfire.

Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in date will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excl. Campspace fees). If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund. Otherwise they will not be refunded. If the host does not accept the reservation, guests will receive a full refund.

We live in a beautiful, secluded spot and love sharing our place with people who want to enjoy cycling or hiking from here and then return to enjoy the peace and quiet and the sounds of nature.

Tips

  • From our address, take a 7 km walk across the Leggelerveld heathland and around the Blauwe Meer.

  • Cycle from our village Geeuwenbrug into the Drents-Friese Forest National Park with cycle junctions to, for example, Diever or Appelscha. or

  • You can do your daily shopping in Dwingeloo, but the nice town of Meppel is less than half an hour's drive away.

  • Several nice terraces in Dwingeloo and Diever 5 km away

  • The Bospub in Lhee near Dwingeloo at a distance of 8 km
