About this location

Nestled amidst the lush olive groves of the gently rolling landscape between Carovigno and San Vito dei Normanni, not far from the sea, in the heart of Puglia, lies our Old Olive Tree, a former post station with nearly 2 hectares of land and 250 ancient olive trees. We have lived in this wonderful place for six years and are currently renovating our house and, a short distance away, building a small oasis with two glamping tents for our private guests. Here, we offer up to three pitches for campers or tents amidst olive, almond, and fruit trees, and our private swimming pool is available for relaxation and cooling off. As long-time Zen teachers, we also offer introductory sessions in Zen meditation or participation in Zen meditation for those interested. And as an additional amenity not listed as a standard option, we provide a washing machine.

At the end of a long motorcycle trip, we arrived in Apulia and decided to stay. We are renovating and extending our old lamia (traditional farmhouse), cultivating olives and pressing our own oil, have two dogs and two cats, and love life on our wonderful property surrounded by nature, yet close to the vibrant, typical southern Italian towns of the area. It is a joy for us to share the beauty of this place with others.
