Stinnes campspace, a farm with horses and chickens, is in a wonderfully quiet location in the middle of nature. As a result, you have such a beautiful starry sky at night that you can even see the Milky Way, which invites you to go on a night hike or two. At the right time of year you can even hear the deer in the nearby forest at night - totally exciting to experience that. We had a wonderful time at Stinne's. The campspace is large and spacious, but still protected and with enough privacy. The shared rooms such as the bathroom and lounge were very clean and newly built. There is even a sports field. Sinne still has big plans for expanding the farm. She would like to offer a Viking kitchen and Viking workshops where her guests can experience the traditional Viking culture up close.
How was the contact with the host?
We arrived in the evening after a long drive. Since I got the date wrong, we got there a day earlier than planned. However, Sinne was super nice and spontaneous and that wasn’t a problem. Since she was still on the road when we arrived, she passed on all the important information via chat and phone. We were able to get along well with that. She greeted us in the evening when she came back and we were cooking very warmly. Since it was already late, she offered us a short tour of the site the next morning, which we gratefully accepted. She also gave us tips on what to do and from where you can best watch the deer, which were in the rut at the time.
Tips for new guests?
Our car navi took us far too far over a dirt road to the wrong house, but it's super easy to get to the campspace. You turn off a road directly into the courtyard. The campspace itself then lies behind on a quiet meadow behind the paddocks. Better double check the GPS or use GoogleMaps, it found it right away.
