About this location

Welcome to our campsite in Licques, nestled in the heart of a lush market garden called Jardin Romanesco. You'll be serenaded by birdsong and the sounds of farmyard animals, surrounded by crops, trees, and hedgerows. Our dog may also pay you a visit, as he roams freely for part of the day. On-site, you can purchase vegetables, some fruit, soups, herbal teas, and fruit purees, all sourced from Jardin Romanesco. Other local shops are easily accessible on foot (bakery, butcher, chip shop) and by bicycle or car (supermarket). Other businesses are also available (pharmacy, florist, home decor, beauty salon, women's clothing store, hairdressers, optician, bank, restaurants, cafes, cabaret). Nearby, explore the Licques countryside, ideal for hiking and cycling, mountain biking, or road cycling. Continue on to Ardres, just 10 minutes away, to enjoy an ice cream on Avenue du Lac or visit the water sports center. Guînes is also nearby (10 minutes) with its forest and treetop adventure course. Don't miss the towns of Boulogne-sur-Mer, Saint-Omer, and Calais, all within a 30-minute drive (historical heritage, shops, beaches, marshes, forests, etc.).

Upon arrival, go through the gate and drive into the courtyard. Ring one of the two doors AND/OR call and leave a voicemail message, as I do not answer unknown numbers due to aggressive sales tactics. Please be patient, as I may be working in the garden.

  • From Licques, you can reach Ardres (water sports center, lake) and Guînes (forest, treetop adventure course) in 10 minutes. You can reach towns, beaches, and the marsh in 30 minutes.

  • The location is within an organic vegetable farm where you can buy fresh produce and groceries. Beyond that, many shops will meet your needs.

  • Le Chaudron Licquois will open the door of its bar to you.

  • The Le Chaudron Licquois tavern will welcome you and delight your palate. The Akène gastronomic restaurant in Ardres is a truly sublime place.
