A nice De Waard tent on a wooden deck with 2 mattresses (bring your own bedding!) and two relax chairs. The tents themselves are not in the shade, but it cools down quickly in the evening due to the elevation, perfect for making a campfire. Luckily, you have the river next to you to cool off :)

A critical thinker with the heart in the right place, I have been traveling for years myself, and have lived in several self-sufficient communities. And now I live in an old mill in the middle of Auvergne, where I try to be as self-sufficient as possible :)

Tips

  • Canoeing, horseback riding, walking in the forest, paddling in the river ;)

  • Every Thursday morning a large market in Ambert,

  • Within walking distance you have hotel restaurant La Clairiere, in a cozy hamlet with delicious food!
