Time-out & pleasure meadow on the edge of the Spreewald
About this campspace #s006978

Your host
Thomasdescription
Beautiful and quiet place to stay in the middle of a meadow orchard. Picking apples, pears and cherries from the meadow orchard for immediate consumption is expressly permitted. An ideal starting point for long hikes and bike tours with excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity.
The circumstances
Little paradise on the outskirts of town. The ideal place to escape the stress of everyday life. With the exception of one or two tractors and the buzzing of the bees, the noise is kept within reasonable limits. You have a wonderful view over the adjacent fields and you can even see the top of the Calau church tower.
The places
You can sit down on all mowed areas. The subsoil is meadow, partially in the shade of neighboring oaks.
The sanitary facilities
There is no sanitary facility. If required, drinking water is available on a neighboring property (100 liters = 1.00 EUR)
The Activities
An ideal starting point for long hikes and bike tours with excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity, such as the Sagenpfad & Goldborn in Werchow, the "Calauer Schweiz" lookout tower, the "Niederlausitzer Landrücken" nature park, "Fürst-Pückler-Park" in Fürstlich Drehna, the Gutskapelle Reuden or the Sielmann Nature Experience Center Wanninchen. A children's playground is in the immediate vicinity (distance 100m) to the meadow. Calau, the "healthy little town with a joke", is about 2 km from the place to stay. In the city there are several supermarkets, two gas stations, Sparkasse and Spreewaldbank, as well as a medical center and a tourist information office. In the city center are the Witzerundweg, the town hall, many small shops, several iced coffee shops and restaurants. The Spreewald with its many rivers as a destination for paddling, boating or cycling can be easily reached in about 10 km.
