Nice location in the middle of nature. A friendly owner who speaks good Dutch.
If you like off grid and basic, this is a great spot.

Perfect spot with everything you need, beautiful view and quiet.
How was the contact with the host?
Great ! Roland is very welcoming and friendly, perfectly bilingual.
Tips for new guests?
It is relatively easy to walk to the Eau d'Heure lakes from the camp. It takes 2 hours of walking. The roads and paths seem little used.

The owner was very helpful, gave me directions on the phone, showed me everything. He is still in the process of expanding the property and there will be a lot more space here. I had a very quiet night, here you are sheltered from the wind at the edge of the field. Ideal with a dog.

Very spacious and private field! We where there in winter, which maked the field a bit muddy. Bet in summer the place will be even more beautiful. Campfire was fantastic and nice and cozy! Toilet is in fact a plastic chair but adds to the outdoor adventure feeling.
How was the contact with the host?
Good. Very nice gentleman and very helpful!
Tips for new guests?
Getting in and out the field in winter (or rainy days) is quite the challenge. Make sure your car is equipped!

A beautiful, peaceful place.
Very basic, but just right for people who can make their own plans.
The hut is a useful shelter, but it has not yet been made windproof. The owner apparently plans to do so soon.
There is actually no hot water.
(Perhaps in the summer if the boiler has been in the sun long enough)
In wet weather, the site is difficult to leave with a caravan due to the slope.
The owner came to help us with his tractor.
How was the contact with the host?
The owner is helpful, sympathetic & bilingual.

We enjoyed a long weekend at this place. It is a beautiful, natural and primitive camping spot. Great to be able to light a campfire for warmth and coziness. The hut offers a lot of added value to be able to cook and sit in happy bad weather. It is nice and quiet. Only occasionally does someone cross the road that runs past the camping site. The nearby highway is audible, but not very disturbing.
How was the contact with the host?
Great, on arrival we were warmly welcomed. In between he came by once to check if everything was to your liking
Tips for new guests?
Provide bottled drinking water. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to drink the water available on site.

Back to basics for a while!
You are standing on the edge of a potato field and behind you is a bush behind which are horses and cows.
The toilet is a hole in the ground and the shower is primitive among the trees. But, you can relax here. You don't need anything!
Nice cities are within driving distance and you can walk well in the surroundings. Do you want to eat out? Then you take the car!

Good!!

Not for sissies!
