About this location

Please read the entire announcement before asking any questions.
I try to be available and answer you as quickly as possible, but sometimes the network is lacking in our mountains ;)
The river banks are private, reserved for people on the land. There are two accesses: an easier one where the water is shallower (for children, for example) and one at the bottom of the land with a water hole. We advise you to bring water shoes. The Dolce Via (gentle path, former railway line with a maximum gradient of 8%, transformed into a greenway for cycling, walking, etc.) passes right in front of the land and runs along the river for 42 km in total (it goes from La Voulte sur Rhone to St-Agrève).
The environment is natural, calm, peaceful.
Ideal for nature lovers and those who appreciate simplicity!
The land is flat, wooded, you will find shade and/or sun there, depending on the time.
This is natural, unlevel terrain, so it is bumpy in places. If you suffer from back pain, we recommend bringing a mattress.
Depending on the season of your stay, you can enjoy wild vines, blackberries and figs.
The access road to the land is sloping and not suitable for vehicles.
Parking is located 75m and 150m away, parking lots where there have never been any concerns about vehicle safety (St-Sauveur is a very quiet village).
The village is very close, accessible on foot in 5-10 minutes. You will find all the amenities there (supermarkets, butcher, bakery, doctor, pharmacy, petrol, bar, tobacconist, restaurants, florist, producer shop etc.). In fact, the road passes at the top of the land, it is not isolated.
Your arrival will be organized around circumstances (professional activities) and current availability, so please inform us as soon as you know your schedule. ;)
We do not live on the property, so you will feel right at home during your stay!
We speak English and know the central Ardèche area well and will be happy to answer your questions!

Perfect for...

For people looking for an alternative to wild camping (the facilities are basic, we have no objective of approaching a "conventional" campsite)

The land is in echamps (that is to say in espaliers) with a total surface area of 3,800 m², of which 800 m² in length are dedicated to the tent space.
The land is non-private (except in the case of large groups), so you can be with other people, but the space is sufficient for everyone to maintain their privacy. Pitches are free.
Sanitary facilities
We have dry toilets, simple but effective.
The equipment
The living space is to be shared with the co-tenants: benches, barbecue (authorized depending on the level of drought and the risk of fire), table, non-potable source (it has never been tested, you will find a drinking source in the village), which sometimes stops in the event of drought. The river is never dry.
Preliminary note: we are not a campsite, we offer our land as an alternative to wild camping, comfort is therefore minimal (dry toilets, campsite solar showers) and there is no electricity.
